Scheduling Your Exam and Testing Centers

The NFA test is administered by the FINRA, a U.S. financial industry regulatory authority, and given via a computer-based testing at local centers worldwide. NFA will receive evidence directly from FINRA when an individual has passed an examination.

After you are have applied and have been accepted to take an examination, FINRA will provide a 120-day window in which you can schedule an appointment with one of two authorized testing vendors to take the required qualification exam(s). You may schedule an appointment at exam center from the FINRA website or by calling a testing center. Be sure to schedule your exam session as far in advance as possible to secure your desired exam date.

If you require special accommodation, arrangements must be made in advance:

  • Candidates requiring special accommodations should consult the FINRA web site and complete and submit the appropriate forms. Candidates with transitory or temporary conditions that are not impairments or disabilities, such as pregnancy, sprains and fractures, are not eligible for testing accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
  • Individuals with Limited English Proficiency (LEP) can make advance arrangements and request an additional 60 minutes.

Completion of the Exam

You will receive your exam results at the testing center and you will be provided with a printout of your results.  The testing center will notify FINRA, NFA and you firm if applicable of your results.
