IFM Delivers Education to Congressional Staff

The IFM recently delivered an educational briefing to the staff members of the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture. This Committee oversees Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), the U.S. goverment agency responsible for regulating futures, options on futures and swaps markets. The IFM served as the lead educator on derivatives markets fundamentals and the importance of markets. The presentation also included views from key industry representatives of the CFTC, CME Group, Commodity Markets Council, FIA, Futures Fundamentals, Intercontinental Exchange, and NFA.

The briefing is one of many that the IFM has delivered to congressional staff of the House and Senate. As a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization, the IFM is a credible source of fair and balanced information to lawmkersm rgualors and the public.
